Green climate adaptive garden

This project focuses on creating a sustainable and future-proof outdoor space where aesthetics, comfort and ecology come together. The garden is designed as a calming place where people and nature are in balance, with a strong emphasis on reusing materials and enhancing biodiversity.

Central to the design is the use of recycled and circular materials. Pavements, seating elements and structures are made from existing or recycled raw materials wherever possible. This reduces the ecological footprint and gives the garden a characterful, timeless look.

The planting has been carefully composed to enhance biodiversity. A rich mix of perennials, ornamental grasses and flowering species provides food and hiding places for insects and birds throughout the season. The layered structure from ground covers to taller shrubs and climbers enhances the ecosystem and contributes to a lively and dynamic whole.

Comfort plays an important role in the experience of the garden. Strategically placed seating areas, natural shade by trees and pergolas with climbing plants, and sheltered areas allow for pleasant use of the garden at different times of the day.

In addition, greenery makes a vital contribution to cooling the environment during the summer months. Through evaporation, shading and limiting paved surfaces, heat stress is reduced. This not only makes the garden more pleasant, but also climate-adaptive.

Everything comes together in a thoughtful design, in which functionality and aesthetics go hand in hand. The lines, visual axes and choice of materials ensure calm and coherence, while the natural planting provides a playful and lively appearance. The result is a sustainable garden that contributes to well-being, biodiversity and a future-proof living environment.
