Living in harmony with the landscape and architecture

In this project in Veldhoven, the garden does not simply frame the house, but forms a natural part of it. The architecture and the landscape blend seamlessly, allowing the house to merge, as it were, with its green, wooded surroundings.

The natural garden comprises a rich variety of trees, ornamental grasses and perennials that create a vibrant scene in every season. Several terraces each offer a different way to experience the garden: a sunny spot for the morning, a sheltered lounge area and an atmospheric dining area beneath a pergola covered in climbing plants.

A key feature is the wadi, which naturally collects and infiltrates rainwater. In this way, the garden not only contributes to sustainable water management, but also creates a dynamic landscape in which nature and biodiversity are given free rein.

The roof is also part of the design. The extensive roof garden softens the architecture, strengthens the connection with the surrounding greenery and, when viewed from higher vantage points, allows the house to blend seamlessly into the landscape.

The result is a timeless outdoor space where tranquillity, ecology and architecture complement one another. A garden that is not only a pleasure to look at, but above all invites you to enjoy the outdoors all year round.
