Biodiversity in the garden: designing for both people and nature
A modern garden is not just about its appearance and practicality. More and more people want an outdoor space that also contributes to the natural environment.
Biodiversity plays an important role in this. Through thoughtful design, a garden is created in which plants, animals and people can live together.
What does biodiversity mean in a garden?
Biodiversity in a garden means that different plant and animal species together form a valuable ecosystem. A garden with a variety of plants and animals provides food, shelter and habitat for different species.
With the right choices, every garden can help create a healthier environment.
The role of vegetation
A biodiverse garden starts with a varied selection of plants. Combining different species creates a better balance and makes the garden more attractive to insects, birds and other animals.
In doing so, we look not only at flowers, but also at structure, flowering time and the natural development of plants.
Nature and design in harmony
A biodiverse garden does not have to be wild or unstructured. It is precisely by combining design and nature that you can create an outdoor space that is both stylish and ecologically valuable.
The strength lies in the balance between human aspirations and natural processes.
A garden that comes to life
A sustainable garden changes over the years. Growth, the seasons and natural dynamics are all part of the design.
This creates an outdoor space that is not only pleasing to the eye, but also has significance for the surrounding area.
